It is my great pleasure to announce the completion of my junior year at Houghton. It’s been a great year and I hope you have enjoyed my somewhat less than consistent posting. This summer I am very excited as I will be starting an internship at the Acadia Psychiatric hospital in Bangor, Maine. This is a part of my Applied/Pre-Therapy track of my Psychology major. Days, weeks, & years previous: Went to classes, studied abroad, wrote lots of papers, learned different languages, went on lots of adventures.
Monday, May 9th: Took final-final-exam
Tuesday, May 10th: Turned in Senior Seminar Project
Wednesday, May 11th: DONE!
Truthfully, I haven’t fully realized that I am indeed—totally and completely—done with my undergraduate degree here at Houghton! It’s bittersweet to think about; I’m happy and excited to be moving on to new things, and I will also miss the my sweet friends and professors and all of the good memories I have in this place.

Hello folks! So, here I am, typing out what will be my final blog post at Houghton College. This is it! I just got back to my room from having taken my final final! haha Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, I just completed the last exam of my undergrad career here at Houghton and it is bittersweet, let me tell you. I have been looking back at this semester with tears in my eyes about the Musical I did, the College Choir Tour that I went on, the trip home for a concert, my backpacking expedition into Scotland with my brother, and of course, Baccalaureate and Senior Spot just around the corner. …

To all of my readers who are coming to Houghton College in the fall-hooray! I am so excited to see you on campus so soon. The year has quickly come to a close, but the time between now and the first day of classes for the 2011-2012 school year will come even faster! So, WELCOME!

Hello again! Welcome to finals week at Houghton College! While it is stressful, it is also a lot of fun because everyone is in the same boat together and we have no other real commitments other than studying or working on projects. It has been a beautiful week and students have enjoyed studying outside! Lambein Hall’s Leadership Council (LC) hosted a study break on Wednesday and I posted some pictures from that below.
Parents can pay the Houghton volunteer fire department to put together a “study buddy” box for their student as an encouragement for finals week~yum!
